OUR EXPERTS
Karen Willis
President and Founder
Karen has more than 25 years of executive business, management, and financial experience across a variety of industries, most recently in healthcare. Prior to founding Pacific-PM, Karen was the Practice Administrator at a busy, multi-office, outpatient surgical center (with 6 surgeons, 5 locations and 70 employees). Earlier, Karen served as SVP of Finance/Chief Financial Officer for three Bank of America subsidiaries and Finance Director at Medtronic MiniMed.
Karen became interested in healthcare management after she donated her kidney in 2012. As an anonymous donor, her experience was recorded in the documentary The Chain (www.thechain.org). Karen remains an avid supporter of The National Kidney Foundation, UCLA Medical Center and St. John’s Regional Medical Center. Karen earned her BA from Smith College and MBA from New York University’s Stern Business school. She also achieved certifications in both Practice Management (CPM) and Medical Billing (CMB).
Christine Garcia
Director of Medical Billing & Coding
Christine began her medical career as a Medical Assistant before transitioning into medical billing more than 25 years ago. Her billing expertise includes a variety of medical specialties and is extremely skilled at collecting and maximizing payments on complex claims. Christine has successfully navigated through all major payer types including PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal. She is a graduate of Watterson College and completed her certification in medical coding in 2010. When not at work, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years, 2 sons and her beautiful 8-year-old granddaughter.
